Disneyland Vacation

The week before Christmas, the Ledbetters all came down for vacation and we went to Disneyland! It was such a blast. It was a week of firsts for the boys, as they had never been to Disneyland, never seen the ocean, and never been to California! We had so much fun and got to do a lot of really awesome things!

We are extremely blessed to have Sue close by, she is like a 2nd mother to us. She was so so kind to let the family stay with her so we could all stay together and didn't have to get a hotel! It was so awesome to have everyone close together, and we are so grateful to Sue and Drew for their generosity.

Of course it rained the entire time they were here. It doesn't rain much here, but none of the boys believe that anymore. It never stopped. But they were all troopers and endured it anyway with ponchose and unbrellas!

So here is the trip in a nutshell:

The boys loved the Sword in the Stone.

Drew got to come with us on the last day we were there, and he loves the Tower of Terror!

The whole family LOVES Star Wars, so of course we had our pictures taken with some storm troopers and Darth Vader.

We got to go to the L.A. Temple, which was gorgeous with all the Christmas lights! Everyone thought these palm trees looked like Nintendo mushrooms because of the colors and shapes.

We went to the beach. Unfortunately it rained even then, but it was still fun and we collected many shells for souvenirs!

The castle was so pretty with all the lights. So beautiful at night.

Pluto!

California Screamin is one of the best rides ever. It's very very fast. This was their reaction immediately after the ride..

Sterling was such a good sport. He's not real into roller coasters or thrill rides but he gave everything a try anyway. The Tower of Terror about scared him to death though. I LOVE his face in this picture! He's the one on the top row in the middle, with the red shirt on. It was so hilarious. Needless to say, he didn't go on that ride again.

This was our first day there, getting on the tram to go to the park! So much more exciting when you're going with people who have never been.

So the trip was pretty much awesome! We just love that family and had a great time with them.

Looks like so much fun Hol! We can't wait to come. I wish the castle was still lit up like that for us. It was beautiful.

one more reason to stay in California to go to Disneyland. Looks like the season passes are really paying off. So fun. We are coming to San Diego in March. WE will have to go and do something fun while we are there.
