You're the next contestant on the Price is Right!

For any of you who missed my tv debut (sorry, I forgot to remind you!), here's a link to watch it. I don't come on until the end, so if you watch it starting at about 26 minutes (instead of the beginning) then you'll just get the good part. I look terrible, so just keep in mind that I was sunburnt from spending many days at the beach and at Disneyland, and that we had been up since 3 a.m. with only 2 hours of sleep before that. I tried to embed the video, but it wouldn't let me so I'll just give you the link. Enjoy!

The Week of Torture

Ok, finals week really isn't that bad. But almost. I shouldn't complain, I only had two finals. I took my last one yesterday afternoon! I'm so happy to be done. Unfortunately, Forrest has just started.. he's taken two and has three more to go. Poor guy. All his finals are way harder than either of mine. He's been studying like crazy lately, so that gives me time to do whatever I want! So I've been filling my time with lots of stuff.. but mostly crafts. We had a super Saturday activity last week where we made lots of cute stuff, we made Christmas Countdowns and wooden signs. Mine says "Oh Holy Night" for Christmas. They were really fun to make. I have some other crafts that I've been itching to make, I just have to wait until I have more time!

Lately

I finally decided to post some pictures and tell about what we've been up to lately. By lately, I really mean LATEly. These pictures go all the way back to September...

We'll start with the most recent. Last weekend I went up north to see my family. My mom got tickets to the early showing of New Moon, so I drove up on Thursday with Kaylee and we went to the show with my mom that night! We loved it, and it was great to spend the weekend with my family. Forrest stayed home because he takes the GMAT tomorrow and he needs as few distractions as possible. So he studied while I had a blast! This is Kaylee and I at dinner that weekend.

Last week, Carlia came over to visit and we went shopping and to lunch. We had a great time, and McKaydee was cracking me up! Carlia tried putting her in a booster seat instead of a high chair, and that turned out to be quite the adventure. She kept trying to walk on the table from her seat, and then she'd pick up the booster seat and turn it over... she really did this for like half an hour. Finally Carlia decided to hide the seat from her by putting it under the table. But of course, once the seat was under the table that was the perfect place to sit, and McKaydee sat down there and didn't say a word for the whole rest of the time! It was so cute, I had to take a picture.

While I was up north, I went to dinner with some of my friends from high school. It was so much fun! It was Kim's birthday, so we got together to celebrate and I really enjoyed it! I miss my friends, and it was great to see them again.

Halloween!! We went to a great party at the Webb's house and had such a blast. This picture is missing the Henries who were at the party, we totally spaced taking a picture until right after they left
:( sorry guys! But this is us (Kronk and Yzma), the Foulgers (mafia), the Webbs (Madagascar characters - baby Cali was a giraffe!), and some friends of the Webbs who looked so awesome, as you can see their scary costumes. It was such a fun party! We played lots of games and had a really great time.

A closer look at our costumes. Kronk and Yzma off of the Emporers New Groove.

This is a funny picture from our start of year track party at the first of October. It's a costume party and me and Forrest had no idea what to be, so I just went to DI and picked up some old jump suits and a funny hat for Forrest. We stuffed them with pillows to make us look like old fat people. It was really fun, but they were hard to run our races in!

These last 4 pictures are all of a hike we went on in September. We hiked the Subway at Zion National Park. It's a really intense hike where you have to repel and swim through lots of water.. it took us about 11 hours and was a long but really fun day. The water we had to swim through was so cold, even though it was a really hot day. The whole hike is in the shade so it was freezing. We went with the Tubbs and Halls from our ward, and another couple who we just met that day. It was a lot of fun! The hike was so beautiful as you can see from these gorgeous pictures!

This was right after we got out of the water. In case you can't tell, we were FREEZING!

This was the entire group. The Tubbs, the Halls, us, and the other couple (I don't remember their last name).

This is my favorite picture ever!! It is so funny! In case you can't tell, that's Forrest's butt. There was this crazy place where you had to drop from a ledge down a tiny hole to get to the bottom place where you had to walk from. The drop was at least 8 feet. It was really scary, but fun too! Forrest was the biggest person in our group, and he had a rought time getting down the narrow hole. He got stuck! So this is him sitting there, half of him above the hole and half below where we could all see. It was so funny, nobody would help him because we were all laughing so hard!

Come On Down...

If anyone bothered to watch the Price is Right today, I'm really sorry... That was not the show that I was on, as you may have noticed. Right after the show I got a call from CBS saying that they moved the show date to December 15th. I know, it's a long ways away. But oh well, I guess we have one more month to get excited about it! And by then, finals will be all over so I can just relax and watch with no pressure, right?

Over Half Way

I took two midterms today, and Forrest has had midterms throughout the past two weeks. After today, they are all over. We made it through half of the semester! I never thought we could do it. It's been tough, and I know it'll only get tougher, but it's very comforting to think that we only have 5 more weeks to go until we're through with the fall semester! I can't wait. It'll be so nice to be done, especially to know that we only have 1 semester left!! (At least of our undergrad.) The comforting think for me is that even if I get c's in all my classes from here on out, I'll still graduate with a 3.7. What a relief!!

New job!

A while ago I applied for this awesome job on campus that I thought there was no way I'd get it. I had an interview a little while ago, and a week after the interview I was offered the job! I was so excited! I have now been working for 2 weeks and I love it. I work at SUU in the Presiden't Office as a public relations assistant. I write press releases and radio commercials, and help come up with the text that goes on posters, billboards, and other advertisements. I'm also going to be helping with a lot of graduation planning. It's a little stressful at times, but I really do love this job! Public relations is what I hope to do in the future so this is a good resume-builder. I have my own desk and it's been a nice change working in an office. I finally get to dress up for work! It's fun. I got offered the job right before my birthday, and since I needed new clothes to wear to work... Forrest and my mom sent me on a shopping spree!! It was so fun to go shopping with my mom, I haven't done that for a while. She helped me pick out some very cute things! It was a very nice birthday gift from both of them. Thanks guys, I love you!
