Whirlwind!

I feel like this past month and a half has come and gone so fast I don't know what hit me! I had planned to do good posts on all the major events and include pictures and lots of detail, but the prospect for that is not looking too good. So I thought I'd just do a quick catch up on everything we've done, and hopefully I'll get a slideshow of pictures up soon!

Forrest and I both have the best families in the world, and we had lots of family here to support us for Forrest's graduation! We had so much fun while they were here: a pool party, renting a surrey (little kart-like bicycle that we fit 5 adults and 2 children on) and riding it on the beach, going to the long beach aquarium, and lots of shopping! Thanks family for coming, we love you all so much and really appreciate all your support! (Note: we also have lots of love and support from family members who weren't able to make it)

Just hours after our family left to go back to Utah, Forrest and I left on an awesome vacation back east to visit some of our best friends ever. When we landed in Washington DC, we first rented a car and drove the 5 hours down to visit Forrest's aunt and uncle (whom I've never met and Forrest hasn't seen since he was 4) in North Carolina. We had a wonderful time visiting them and getting to know our family better! We then drove back up to DC and spend 4 AWESOME days with the Webbs and the Dyes in our nation's capitol. We got to go see many of the "must-see" places in Washington DC, including the White House (just from the fence of course), the National Archives, the Capitol Building and the Smithsonian museum. It was such an awesome trip, thanks to the Webbs for being so gracious and letting us visit and to the Dyes for coming out to visit so we could all be together!

After that trip we took a few days off, tried to find a new car (our beloved Passat was wrecked - my fault, but don't worry, no injuries), and took off to Utah to visit our families! Forrest's younger brother Sterling graduated from high school and my sister Kaylee had a bridal shower, so we were able to go up for those exciting milestone events! We were lucky enough to return home with an awesome new car (well, new to us) that we absolutely love.

Now we are back home in California for a few days, I'm finishing up my last week of work, and we're preparing for our long-anticipated graduation gift to both of us (since we didn't do anything last year for our graduations from SUU, we decided to do an extra-awesome something for Forrest's graduation from USC): a 10-day trip to Belize!! We are going with Sue and Drew for the first 5 days, then we'll have 5 days on our own there. Sue owns a condo there and she is awesome enough to let us stay! Thanks Sue!! We are so excited!
Isn't life just so great?
